Mice can really be a nuisance, especially when they invade our kitchen and bring along diseases. But fret not, there are ways to deal with them without using those traditional traps. Instead, why not try capturing and releasing them outside? Here’s what you can do:

  1. Get a specific cage designed for capturing mice and camouflage it with newspaper.
  2. Place a tempting piece of cheese or dried fruit inside the cage to attract the little troublemakers.

But what about keeping mice away? Well, you can use some natural remedies:

  1. Peppermint: Mice don’t like the smell of peppermint, so place a few drops of peppermint essential oil on cotton or cloves and scatter them in various areas of your home.
  2. Cloves: Similar to peppermint, mice are repelled by the scent of cloves. So, sprinkle a few cloves in different parts of your house to keep the rodents at bay.

Cockroaches are never welcome guests, especially in our kitchen and hot, humid rooms. Luckily, there are some natural remedies that can help eliminate these creepy crawlies. Here are a few:

  1. Baking soda and sugar: Mix a glass of baking soda with a glass of powdered sugar, then divide the mixture into cups. Place these cups in the areas where roaches are infesting. The sugar will attract the roaches, while the baking soda will eliminate them.
  2. Diatomaceous earth: Sprinkle this natural insecticide in dishes and areas frequented by roaches. For an added attraction, sprinkle a little sugar on top.
  3. Cucumber: Roaches hate the smell of cucumbers, so arrange cucumber slices on plates and place them in the areas where these unwanted visitors roam.
  4. Boric acid: Make a mixture of one tablespoon of boric acid and one tablespoon of sweetened condensed milk. Form small balls and place them in areas where roaches usually pass through. Repeat this process after three weeks to eliminate the second generation of roaches.
  5. Lemon eucalyptus essential oil: If you catch the cockroach invasion early on, pour a few drops of this oil onto pieces of newspaper and place them in the areas where roaches are commonly found.
  6. Lavender essential oil: To keep roaches away, place 5 to 10 drops of lavender essential oil on small pieces of cotton and put them in your cupboards. Remember to reapply the oil daily.
  7. White vinegar: Spray white vinegar on the bottom of walls, under furniture, under the sink, and in other areas where roaches tend to pass. The smell of vinegar repels them quickly.
